Tile Murals

Tile murals are very customizable. Tiles are available in two sizes, 6" and 4 1/4". The overall price of a tile mural depends on the dimension of the photograph, and how many tiles will be used to complete the mural.

Shipping and handling for this item will be at actual cost. Please contact me if you have any questions about this.

Tiles are also available for purchase as stand-alone art, and are priced plus shipping and handling (again at actual cost).

Website orders are conveniently processed directly and securely through the website.

For email orders, I will accept checks and credits cards for payment. I do not, however, accept credit card numbers via email, so if you are considering paying by card, please include your phone number in your correspondence. I will contact you by phone at a time of your choosing to get that information from you.

E-Mail Orders

If you saw something at a show and decided to buy later, are looking for a framed or matted image (as these are not available through my website), or would just prefer that I fulfill your order directly, the best way to contact me is by e-mail, at larryreitz@comcast.net.

Remember, all work offered at shows is created, printed, matted, framed and sold by me personally. The same is true for email or snail mail orders.

Internet & Website Sales

Loose prints (i.e. not mounted, matted, or framed) are not sold at the art festivals, but can be purchased from my website. These are processed by a highly reputable lab and sent directly to you. Purchase of a loose print can have several advantages:

  1. It is cheaper, approximately half the price of the matted version.
  2. The prints made on traditional silver halide papers are archival and, when properly displayed, will last roughly as long as the ink jet prints described above.
  3. The buyer has more matting and framing options:

    • A professional framing shop can customize the presentation of the image to give you a truly unique piece of art that is a perfect compliment to your room decor.
    • Alternatively, you can purchase ready-made matting at stores such as Michael's or A.C. Moore at reasonable prices and attach the print to it.
    • Inexpensive framing can also be purchased at a number of retail outlets, such as Wal-Mart, Target, and those mentioned above.
    • Smaller prints are available for those who want to make their own accent pieces. However, for those images sold in limited editions, the smallest prints cannot be made available.

  4. Web orders are convenient.
  5. Digital Downloads are available for some images.

Art Festivals

Art Festivals are where most of my customers have purchased. These are fun events for buyers as well as sellers. We get to meet and talk about the photographs—where they were made, the process and all that is interesting about this endeavor. Customers are able to take the product home and enjoy the piece immediately. In this venue I strive to be competitive in pricing, as I would rather sell several reasonably priced pieces than one or two with a high premium. All work offered at shows is created, printed, matted, framed and sold by me personally.

Images are output onto archival material using an Epson Pro Graphics printer and archival ink. Today’s highly sophisticated ink jet printers enable printing on more exotic media. These technological marvels produce prints that come close to reproducing the broad range of light and color as seen by the human eye, but that cannot normally be reproduced by film or silver halide based papers. Images are displayed matted, matted and framed, or as stretched canvas with a thin floating frame around the edge. Mats are acid free and archival.

In addition to canvas and traditional prints, some of my photographs are reproduced on tile and other hard surfaces. These fine craft pieces are made by a process called sublimation. Under heat and pressure, the image is transferred from paper onto a receptive hard surface. You will find tile in various framing options as well as coasters for sale under my art show canopy.
